Pediatrics, PNF, Neuro, PT

One thing I love about PT....
* I can work with a 4 year old with sensory integration disorder one minute and a 77 year old with Parkinson's the next

Anyways, so my manager was/is here today. I finally bit the bullet and said...(basically)...what gives?

The converstation went well. I will be the 3rd PT in-line do undergo NICU training....but they WANT me to be trained. However, I am also the only one of the three who is willing to do outpatient pediatrics and adult neuro. He said that the end of this year or early 2009 they should be ready to start specifically training me.

I got to take a sigh and felt good that I did approach him. I had overheard him talking to the current PT intern this afternoon about how important it is to keep pushing if you want a particular spot. Part of managing is sitting back and making the employee prove they want a job.

I feel a little bit better knowing that I at least have a shot at the NICU. I suppose maybe those anecdotes Mom's always say might be true.....
" Good things come to those who wait"
" The squeky wheel gets the grease"

Thanks Mom :)
