Not sure if I am also another year wiser.....but none the less the big 2-8 hit a bit hard this year. I have not been able to figure out why, but I SO could have skipped this one :P
I have LOTS to spill about the Tahoe trip.
The wedding was lovely, the weather was perfection. We had a good time and were stoked to see that the couple had hired the DJ from our wedding!
However, honeymoon husband was no where to be found this weekend. At first, Saturday morning I thought MAYBE.....as the drive was enjoyable, although filled with ramblings about potential practical test scenarios and pump ratios, etc., etc. Unlucky for me I also traded Non-honeymoon husband in for "projectile vomiting husband". Seriously, without going into TOO much detail.....Chris likely ate something that did not agree with him as he spent yesterday not feeling hungover at all, but just flat out sick. It made for a lovely birthday morning for me of trying to air out the vomit smell from the room while I found various piles of nastiness throughout the room. It was charming to say the least. Needless to say, I could not clean up the room and pack fast enough.....I needed out of that room. We were out of there by 830 yesterday morning, and I only HOPE that my propping the windows open and spraying air freshener saved whomever had to tidy up our room.
Alas, honeymoon husband was no where to be found as the fun continued to the morning when we had to opt for "gas station food" for breakfast. I sent him in thinking he would get a granola bar, maybe an apple or dried fruit. However, he returned to the car with 2 giant waters and the biggest chocolate bar doughnut I have ever seen. In my head I am thinking, "Ok, I know Chris is a smart guy and typically thinks long and hard about decisions that he makes....but seriously, a CHOCOLATE doughnut?!?!?!?! with his current stomach situation?"
LUCKILY, we were set to have lunch with Mom & Dad. We opted for Chevy's on the river and were able to sit on the outdoor patio and take in a great afternoon.
I will have some photos up tomorrow of the wedding and weekend festivities. And my honeymoon husband has promised to re-celebrate my birthday when life is back to normal......
P.S. his test is THIS Thursday afternoon!!!!!!!

Awwww! Aside from the upchuck, it sounds like a good weekend! :) I really miss afternoons at Chevy's on the River...
PS - 28 hit me a little hard as well. I couldn't put my finger on why, but I definitely felt that one!
