I ♥ surprises!

Ok.....so I can break my one week silence in posting now that the surprise is over. I was literally itching with excitement to pull this one off! My parents have planned for weeks to travel to Seattle to visit my brother this past weekend. Judging by all the time off I have had to take with anniversary trip, friends' wedding events I knew I could not take any more time.....and I was seriously bummed. On a whim my Mom said....."Well you COULD fly up on Saturday" and that set the ball rolling. I promptly booked a flight early Saturday and we started plotting to surprise Tommy.
The surprise was seriously awesome thanks to some behind the scenes work by Tommy's roommates. They were able to get me from the airport and safely on the Bainbridge Ferry which my parents and Tommy were on....heading to breakfast.
Not only did I get to surprise Tommy....but on Sunday afternoon they had a scheduled lunch with Vicki.....so I got to surprise her too! Freaking awesome to pull off surprises.....I loved every minute!
The weekend was full of so many awesome details.......but above all else it was FANTASTIC to see my brother and see where he is. I admire him so incredibly much for taking off and facing this adventure full steam ahead. Not only him....but Vicki did the same. Rock.stars.
All in all, Washington is a gorgeous place and I TOTALLY understand why people are drawn to that area. It was a fantastic weekend with sunshine both days.....of course we got rained on during the 11 hour drive home ;P
I start this week feeling SO incredibly happy, proud, lucky to have had an amazing weekend and to see my brother and Vicki and to spend precious time as a family.....now we just need to work on getting Chris up there!

Awww! I'm so happy that you were able to see Tommy (and Vicky too!) That's fantastic. And I'm glad that the weather held out for you too, haha! It was supposed to be icky this weekend but apparently you brought the sunshine with you!

Hugs!
