* I am STILL sore in my left arm from my freaking flu shot on Monday. Why do they hurt for so long, GEEZ!
* This week my brain has decided it's "wake up 15 minutes before your alarm" week. I wish it would have let me know ahead of time so I could go to bed 15 minutes earlier.
* It's October 23rd and the predicted high is 83, CA weather is strange.
Ends
* Seems as though there may be an end in sight for people with MS, a new drug has been found that may decrease the amount of relapses. Trials are still underway but after 3 years, a sample of 300+ patient's are having positive outcomes!
* Regarding the means to an end.....for me, this involves my study habits as I prepare to take a professional test this Spring. I have been putting in an hour or two each night and today I had a therapist who took a similar test many years ago tell me the key would be to take 2-4 weeks off prior to the test and study 8-10 hours every day. I was a litle irked. She also went on to tell me she knew people who studied like I am and they did not pass......The last thing I needed to hear from someone who was successful on the test was 'the way you are doing it is wrong'. Ugh.
* In between dinner and study time, I often watch a taped episode of Oprah. This week she had on the author of "My Stroke of Insight", who is a neuroscientist (Harvard trained) who had an AVM burst and was severely impaired. She has written about her road to recovery and about the 8 years it took her. One of the most frustrating things as a PT is that patients often complain about being so tired and fatigued. I always tell them if you are tired, SLEEP! The brain and body recover when we sleep, so sleep is IMPERATIVE during recovery. Luckily she reiterated this fact and I think I will now recommend this book to patients, caregivers and family members as a great insightful look at the long road to recovery.

You are incredibly smart and I know will do great. I studied about 4-6 hours a day, every day for two weeks before my exam and passed.....but that is the way *I* learn. I'm sure you probably learn differently!!
How's everything going on your end? My RE gave me some Kaiser names I need to bounce off you!
Miss you, Britt
So after she told you how you should study, did you remind her you're ERIN FREAKIN VESTAL! and you're brilliant. Just wonderin' ;)
Aww, thanks Bubba. You know EXACTLY what I need to hear!. I am hoping to kick that test square in the arse :P
