I hit the road yesterday morning....to make sure my legs still knew how to run :P I stumbled through 3 slow miles and was happy just to be back out pounding the pavement. My legs are still not very happy, but thank goodness for the foam roller.....my ITB is thanking me :) I managed a 4-miler this morning and pushed a little harder than I should have. I find myself sore....yet wanting (and needing) so badly to get back out there.
The marathon....well....I finished....but it was not the race I hoped for. In hindsight I wish I would've registered for CIM this weekend....for a little redemption....but I am already planning out my next race, if nowhere else than in my mind.
Me thinks those hills of Seattle have not seen the last of me.
This week has been rough. Feeling lousy and sore and no husband in sight. After lots of family time last week I am finding the solitude a bit dreary, thankfully....Chris comes home tomorrow.

I'm sorry you are feeling down this week. After such a high and being around so many family/close friends I can understand. So is our life huh? Well you know we are right across the highway!! If you want a pick-me-up come over for Auntie Erin hugs and kisses!
Hopefully, we will be able to bask in the glory of you two finishing more races in Seattle!
