My passion for fashion....

First and foremost, after accumulating 39 miles last week and a long 14-miler yesterday.....todays is a 'rest day' from running.....so I am NOT talking about running after this sentence. I promise.
Instead I will turn to fashion.....last night marked the Golden Globes and I, or course, just watched to see what everyone was wearing. It seemed the theme was largely Grecian this year with draped chiffons and dreamy, flowy silks. So.....the photo above marks the best and worst of this year's awards.
I for one, agree whole heartedly that Eva Longoria rocked the red Reem Acra gown. It's a bit bizarre as Reem is well known for exquisite bridal gowns, but that red number killed! As we sat and watched even PC (my hubby) commented that it looked like she was literally sewn into the dress. Also, I think Isla Fisher looked amazing in her tan Grecian goddess dress.....seriously, does anyone else remember her being pregnant not long ago and looking as big as a house....that dress is stunning. Last but not least, kudos to Christina Applegate for going with yellow AND pulling it off.
Onto the worst list....it's true, Renee Zelwegger took a chance....and missed. She looks a hot mess. The dress has potential but her hair (IMHO) just took the ensemble down the drain. Marissa Tomei....really? Maybe in the mid-90's that worked.....as a matter of fact I am almost certain Angelina Jolie wore something similar 10+ years ago. I tend to disagree with Maggie Gylenhal being on the worst list. The dress works, for me at least, and she looked good. She seems to always get put on the worst list for some reason. At any rate, what a bummer to find yourself on the worst list....luckily there is a full season of awards shows upcoming....hopefully they can redeem themselves.
I have to also speak to Drew Barrymore.....she reminded me of the Drew of year's gone by and I can say that she looked like.....(respectfully, or course).....a hot mess
Ok....so who were your faves? Agree or disagree with the best and worst choices?

I also really liked Maggie's dress! I thought she looked stunning. It would have been lame on anyone else, she totally pulls it off.

Kate Winslet is my favorite, she looked flawless. And her second speech made me cry!

Drew and Jessica Lange need to put the wine down for 5 minutes. Ladies, please!

I have to agree that Eva looked fantabulous!!!

You have to admit Drew & Jessica did look like the wind just blew them on to the red carpet ~

I would have to ask Eva Mendes and Laura Dern what they were thinking about their dress choices, although I love them both I was not a fan of their gowns.

Oh, and Pierce Brosnon's wife could have made a better choice as well...
