It's been an interesting few weeks to say the least. With all that has been going on I have been avoiding blogging as my spirits have just been blah......Monday aided me in remembering how powerful the body can be. I felt kinda funky the last few weeks, just off. Not recovering well from runs and just tired in general. Sunday I felt weird....tummy ache....just off again. Monday morning I woke up ok and decided to get a normal run in. Bad idea. I got to mile 2 and like clock work felt like I got socked in the stomach. My decent pace turned into a painfully slow pace in which I just hoped to make it home. I kept thinking that if I just collapsed....who would find me....even if I called Mom or Chris it would be at least 45 minutes until someone made it to me....
Somehow I managed the strength to get home and decided a shower would surely help me. Despite having the water turned up to the highest heat....I continued with frantic shivering. I mean frightening, teeth chattering, bone chilling....chills. Managed to get several layers on, fleece blanket and blasted the space heater on the bed to try and warm-up. I spiked a 101.2 temp and just slept. Thanks to Momma Bear who talked me through it.....seems no matter how old you are there is just something about Momma's words that comfort you :)
I'm nearly back to myself today, managed 5 miles....still painfully slow, but at least no temp and I finished with no fear of calling a taxi for a ride home.
Good news though....I got to see Kristi on Sunday for a quick visit after my hair appointment. We got to do a little shopping together and I wanted to deliver a little something I saw that SO reminded me of her (I'll take a pic and post as I cannot find an image on the Internet....one of a kind, perfect for HER!) when I was getting my hair done. Which by the way....if you are a salon and you happen to have a boutique IN the salon so your clients can conveniently shop while their hair color is processing....you will make some serious moolah....best idea. ever.
Anyways, to my surprise she had bought me something, that little stinker....It was pretty funny that we had each bought one another a bracelet!
I present to you an early addition to Erin's favorite things of April.....

Not only is it a BUTTERFLY it is made by none other than Ed Hardy!
