....weekend EVER.
And by cool, I am, in NO WAY speaking about the weather. It was the hottest weekend here in 2-years (per the weatherman at least) and it just so happened to be the weekend Bubba was coming to surprise Momma Bear.
For weeks and weeks I have been biting my tongue trying to keep this one a secret. The planning paid off and Mom was blind-sided by Bubba's arrival. We got to spend almost two whole days with him. We had a BBQ to celebrate GGma turning 90, went swimming at Grandpa's, ate breakfast, chilled and even snuck in a trip to Mikuni.

There was also a lot to celebrate and be happy about as well. On Thursday evening I arrived home to find the much anticipated "results" of the NCS exam. I was so blessed to get a "Congratulations....." letter. Not one day later we got word that the offer Tommy made on his very own house was accepted. It is still surreal.....all of it.
During his visit I struggled with being thrilled to have the family together and spend that time and devastated that it cannot happen more often. In my dreams I get to stop at Mom and Dad's in the evening after work when hubby is working. I get to call up Bubba and meet him for chips and salsa on a whim. Reality is the moments this weekend have to fill those voids. Reality is he is only a few hours away. Reality is the photos and videos that warm my heart.
