I am running for fun these days. Feeling incredibly lucky to be back out on the road. I am wearing my Garmin, but have no planned mileage, no dictated pace....just running for the sake of running.
I don't leave the house without my headlamp, pepper spray and iPhone and today reinforced why.......
I made my way up to the 2.5 mile turn around point and decided to cut through the center divide, just a small rounded hill with some vegetation and some bark. As I looked at my decided crossing point a lovely sparkly web sat right in front of my body and a spider the size of a golf ball sat smack dab in the middle. Now if you know me, you know this was catastrophic.
I threw up my hands and stopped in my tracks, no scream this time but I did look around in the darkness to make sure no one saw my antics.
Whew....thank you head lamp for allowing me to see this spider.
I otherwise might still be stuck in the web trying to talk the spider out of eating me alive.
Anaconda?

Thank you for turning me on to wearing the headlamp too. That little light may just save our lives when we are on the road.
