And a little bit of that.....

Well, believe it or not things managed to settle down* this weekend after some serious DRAMA. It was nice having Chris home Friday night, however he was still trying to recover from 48 hours on Medic 105 (they ran 20 calls in 2 days). Saturday we planned to hide out as the rains continued......however.......
Bella had her annual vet appointment Saturday morning. She has had a hard time in the past as Chihuahua's are notorious for having allergic reactions to immunizations, etc. We opted not to give her Benadryl prior to her appoinment as he was only having 2 shots done. We brought her home and she was her normal self for hours. Chris sat down to study and I opted to get some paperwork done myself. Bella wasplaying as usual until Chris noticed her nipping at his feet. She NEVER nips.....so he looked down.....and asked me if she looked funny

Um yeah honey, her face is SWOLLEN. Her eyes swollen and even her little lips. It was the saddest thing. A tiny little dog having an allergic reaction. As I mentioned, it has happened before, but this was much worse. We managed to get a dose of Benadryl on board for her, and this morning she is back to her normal self.
Well, in honor of my Bubba and his CRAZY week and weekend.....here are a few pics of us

* settle down= Tommy made it to his interview, despite the worst storm on the West Coastof the season. Only AFTER arriving in Seattle to find out that they ONLY take credit cards as payment. Debit you ask? NOPE. A credit card from a panicked Mother in CA you ask? NOPE. Of course this was all happening at about 945 Friday night, oh and he had his test at 8am Saturday. SHIZAH. Luckily he arrived safely to my good friend Vicki's in Seattle late Friday night. However, deserving the friend of the year award Vicki delivered Tommy to the rental car location at the airport to get the car Saturday am (she had to use her cc since Mot did not have one). Finally, we could all take a deep breath. *Hopefully* the rest of the trip will be without incident :P AND.....his car was recovered. We call her Mocha and at least now we know where she is, albeit a sad sight for Momma Bear to have had to watch her loaded onto a tow truck.
