Looks like we made it!

What a freakin' weekend! Chris and I managed to get the master bedroom and bathroom painted and redecorated this weekend. I only took a few pictures as we are still fine tuning some of the details....but check them out!

This is just above the bathtub in the master bathroom. The paint color is "wet pavement" and of course it is a semi-gloss in the bathroom.

The archway between the bedroom and bathroom houses these two photos. I was so proud of this........I had saved a Marilyn Monroe calendar that I was given by Ma&Pa, and sorted through them to see if there were any black and whites. I found the "makeup" photo and thought it fitting for the bathroom. When I hung it I felt like the space needed something else.....so I dug out the silver frame and as I sorted through wedding photos, I found the "makeup" photo of me! I also think this picture does the paint color more justice than the one above.

Here is the view of the bed from the entryway to the room. The wall on the left has the photos that inspired the whole look of the room, they are black and white photos of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. I think I/we did a good job of sneaking in some distinctly feminine pieces while not making the room feel "girly". We went with silver sateen sheets and a waffle cone textured white duvet with a black chenille coverlet and black shams. We are not totally sold on the pillow arrangement....but it works for picture purposes:)

Ok, time to drag ourselves to our transformed bedroom for some much needed rest!
