Time to refect

Sometimes we go somewhere, we do something....without even really having a chance to let it sink in.
Thanksgiving came and went. The marathon came and went.
I sit at home.
Alone.
Pictures to look at, memories to cherish. But the days have flown by.
There are moments I wish I could press rewind and have life go back, to a more simple time.
It is weird when you can think of a trip and have snapshots in your mind.....Tommy's face as he saw me running.....the sight of Lindsey's "George" flanked by signs and balloons as I trudged up the hill.....sitting at Mongolian BBQ yesterday with the "core-4".....knowing the lengths Vicki and Chris went just to see me cross the finish line.....then of course there is the last 5 days with Ma & Pa.
As I sit and think a certain Billie Holiday song came to mind called "They Can't Take That Away From Me"
...Still I'll always, always keep the memory of all that.....and they can't take that away from me....

Life will ease back into the daily routine.....and the days and months will continue to fly by. Although there was no "real" Thanksgiving this year.....everyday is thanksgiving. I could not ask for more in my family, my friends, my life. I have been exceptionally blessed to have wonderful people around me.
Although I will be alone all week.....I have the memories....and they can't take that away from me.
For that I am thankful.

It was SO good to visit with all of you. And I'm so glad I got to see you cross that finish line. I got all misty when you came through that tunnel. Proud, proud Bicki over here.

And I knew it wouldn't be a real Horning trip without a surprise. Good job, Chris! :)

Hopefully you can pass some of the upcoming solo time in a nice HOT bath and relax those muskles.

Your next trip can't come soon enough! xoxo

The good thing is that you have years and years to have "real" Thanksgivings with your wonderful family and husband. Oh, and years and years to RUN more marathons. . .:o)
