To put it in the words of the ever wise Forrest Gump:
"Little bitty stingin’ rain… and big ol’ fat rain. Rain that flew in sideways. And sometimes rain even seemed to come straight up from underneath."
It was truly a painful run. No my legs did not hurt, but the stinging and burning of the rain drops hitting like mini razors on my face was not nice. At one point I had to turn and run backwards as I was sure I had lost my contact lens. I got to the halfway mark to check my watch.....and I hadn't hit start, I instead hit reset. Lovely. Happy Friday the 13th I suppose.
I am glad to get in a run in BAD weather. You never know what race day will bring and now having done a run in those conditions I have lots of ideas and thoughts on how to manage should we get rained out on race day.
Of course it is making it that much more difficult to look outside at work right now and see SUNSHINE.
