Up's, Down's and In Betweens

The weekend has been interesting in terms of being alone most of the time. Chris left Friday morning for a 72 so it's been quiet around here. I did get a much needed visit from Ma & Pa and really enjoyed catching up. I got in some serious time studying and it seems the more I study the more I feel I don't know anything.
Today marks 3 weeks until Napa. I set out to run 20 this morning and had a phenomenal run. I only wish every run would feel so good. My legs were happy and I really worked on pacing and keeping to my "rule of 1/3rds" running each 1/3rd of the run faster than the last. My overall time was 2 hours 44 minutes at an overall pace of......8:14! Woohoo! Feeling pretty good still, will surely be putting SPeeDy to use and icing this evening.
However, the funniest part of the run had to be my attire. On a 20-miler you really want to simulate your race day as much as possible, wear what you anticipate wearing, schedule goo and water intake, etc. I sported my favorite under armor tights and my newest running skirt. Somewhere about mile 8 I felt like my rear-end was getting a draft.....
Weird.
After all, I have 2 layers on.
I reached back to feel that the waist line of my skirt was about half way down my bum!
Luckily I hadn't passed too many people at that point, but for the rest of the run I had to keep tugging the skirt up.
I couldn't help but ask myself, "Have I finally succeeded in running my a$$ off?"
Sadly I got home, checked the mirror and low and behold.....there it was, no I hadn't run it off ;-)

HA!! Although I did not check to see if you had actually "run your arse off", I did notice how vibrant and full of life you looked!

Keep up the good work and take life a day at a time...

Try not to stress ofver the little things and all things good in life take time :-)

hehe! That is so something that would happen to me. I'm thinking about getting a biking skirt in the very near future. I'm not really big on showing off the lack of body I currently have, so I make sure my biking shorts look like board shorts, so I figure a cute biking skirt could do the same and bring that feminine side to me (scary I know!)

20 miles is incredible, i can barely do 15 on a bike haha!

You can get through your exam! I know you can, just keep doing what you are doing! and Super Duper good luck!
