I suppose I am on summer break from blogging.....at least I did my July favorite list on time ;)

None the less, I am heavy into my training schedule for the two upcoming marathons. I am asking myself A LOT lately....just why oh why are you doing this....Good news is I ♥ to run, so I will press on. My weekly mileage is peaking at 50+ right now, so I am a tired girl these days. Thank goodness for my marathon stick, ice and Tylenol.

It has been a busy few weeks....Mom, Dad and I took a road trip while husband worked overtime shifts while we were gone. The way the budget here in CA is.....he has to work it now as there may not be any in the coming months. At any rate, we had a fun....albeit LONG drive up to help Bubba move into his first house. I will try to do a little synopsis....

The drive up: If I were at a slumber party, I would've woken up with marker or toothpaste on my face....I crashed early and slept a solid 4 hours! I woke up just in time to hear the trailer tire burst.....have a flashback to the tire changing scene on "A Christmas Story".....and desperately search for a McDonald's that opened before 6 am.

The stay in Maple Valley: Took several trips to Wal-Mart to line Bubba and Linds' shelves...which I was STILL short and had to leave a few shelves not lined (sorry guys!). Got to run on the Cedar River Trail, complete with seeing a few interesting critters....particularly my favorite, a banana slug....sit around the table on the back porch with the "fantastic 4"....and more than I can even capture.

The drive home: Found my new favorite candy, sang obnoxiously to various country music songs, even making up new versus with Poppa Bear. Using trivia apps on the iPhone to entertain us all, learning the history of cities we passed (thank you WikiMobile), stopping in Drain, OR (which I can safely say we won't do again!), blowing bubbles and chewing gum until my jaw hurt.

It was a really fun trip and I felt pretty lucky to get to experience such a big moment for Tommy and Lindsey.

We are gearing up for a wedding this weekend, which Tommy is in...so we get to visit with Tommy and Lindsey this weekend again! It's a record!

All in all I'm trying to make more time for blogging....I've done lots of bejeweling so I have plenty of pics to share :)
