Gone With the Wind.....

I'm back....with a few updates :)

PC and I completed the California International Marathon this past weekend. I can honestly say this was my *funnest* marathon to date. For whatever reason the miles past quickly and I enjoyed smiling ear to ear at every single spectator I saw. I thanked them for coming out and really had a blast. We started the race with Kristi's BF, Dan who also did awesome! Chris did really well and pushed through the tough times, gritting his teeth and putting his head down to get through the pain. It was an amazing day. Both Mom and Kristi braved the chilly temps to welcome us at the finish line. It was great to have Mom there as my last two races were completed without the comforts of Mom or Dad being there at the end. Seems silly, I know, but there is just something about knowing your parent is at the end that brings an overwhelming joy.

This was my first marathon as a "Marathon Maniac" and you would not believe the amount of people who came up to shake hands or hug a fellow "Maniac". It was so amazing. I even had the honor of meeting Maniac #1, also known as 'The Prez'. It was as though I had seen a celebrity, I was giddy the rest of the day!

Things were pretty hectic at our house as we finally made the decision to put in new floors. We ended up with wood throughout the house. We literally unpacked from Hawaii and immediately started moving furniture, pulling off base boards and removing carpet to save a few $$$ and also expedite the process. We adore our new floors and base boards and promptly decorated for the Christmas season. I will post some pictures soon.

Now we settle in for the holiday season with so much excitement behind us....well, there is one more thing coming....a weekend get-away to San Francisco to see Lady GaGa in concert! Chris probably deserves an award for agreeing to go with me :) I am looking forward to strolling Union Square and enjoying the holiday sights and sounds!

Here's hoping all of you are enjoying the holiday season!
