Favorite Things of December

My favorite things of this month revolve around a number of fabulous Christmas gifts. If I could have, I would have put each and every gift on here but I thought it might be a little self indulgent :-) I have many new additions to my accessories (thanks Kristi!), kitchen, bookshelf, wine rack and more that will likely show up on here in the months to come!

This book was chosen for me by my PC. We had first seen Bart Yasso at the Marathon Expo in Lake Tahoe. He is a 'living legend' with a cool side story of meeting his wife in Sacramento when he came as a Runner's World writer to run and experience the California International Marathon in Sacramento. I have not yet started this one, but am looking forward to it.

Bubba and Lindsey picked out this incredible popcorn maker for me. Our new popper takes me back many years to the days of Jiffy Pop and Mom and Dad's counter top popper. We decided to make popcorn for New Year's Eve in our new stove-top popper and it was so fun. It even came with little movie theatre style boxes so we each settled on the couch with a box of our own!

This little beauty is the Clarisonic skin cleaning system. I have had my eye on this for years and have drooled over Kristi's and her stories of how clean it gets your face. Thanks to PC she now has a home in my bathroom. It is amazing. I am totally loving my little-bo-pink Clarisonic (yes, it's true....I give nicknames to everything, just ask Bubba, PC, etc, etc.) Last but not least is my current reading material. I had this think in my mind that I was almost blocking Boston out of my mind until after CIM. I had all these books about Boston and all these things I wanted to look at related to Boston....but I didn't. So, in a pretty green wrapped package was this book and I am really loving learning all about the history of the Boston Marathon.
This marvel was a TOTAL surprise and I still look at it everyday in awe. Mom ran across a woman who makes these amazing sketches by using only the name of the people in the photo. You can see some of the detail in the photo above. It is truly a work of art and we really ♥ it!
